6. Barbary Ape
These monkeys live in Atlas and Rift Mountain of Morocco and Algeria. Live in a variety of forests cedar, fir, oak forests, or grasslands, scrub, rocky ridges full of vegetation. They are matriarchal(meaning females are in a power position) and form groups of 10 to 100 individuals. Males do the child-rearing. They mate from November to March and offspring are fully mature when they are four or three years of age and they live till they are 20 years old or more. Their diet includes insects and plants. They eat every part of the plant and insects, they even eat centipedes and scorpions.
