10. Mandrill
Colorful ground-dwelling primate. Stout bodied and short tail, and prominent brow ridges. They have sunken eyes. Pink buttocks, and red noses. Feed on fruits, roots, insects, and small reptiles and amphibians. Found in Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Congo. Live in tropical rain forests in large groups. They are preyed on mainly by leopards and are also hunted by crowned eagles and African rock pythons. They live in groups of 615 to 845 individuals known as hordes. They are hunted for bushmeat.
