16. Vervet
Black faces, and grey bodies. Noted for human-like characteristics like hypertension, anxiety, and use of alcohol. Least concerned in conservation status. The males move to other groups but females stay in the same group for life. They make alarm calls when they see different kinds of predators like leopards, eagles, pythons, and baboons. They eat mostly flowers, fruits, and seeds. They also have a carnivorous side to them where they will eat grasshoppers, termites, cattle egrets, and weaver birds eggs, and chicks. By humans, they are hunted for bushmeat and used for medical research. They also die from human encroachment on their territory.
