4. Proboscis Monkey
Large nose, reddish-brown skin color, and long tail. The Island of Borneo found alongside Bornean Orangutans. Males weight 35-50 lbs females weight 15 to 26 lbs. A larger nose allows for louder vocal sounds, which females like. They can be found in coastal and river areas. They enjoy eating fruits and leaves but also eat seeds and insects sometimes. Their predators include crocodiles, leopards, eagles, and snakes like pythons. They have lost 50% of their population because in some places humans hunt them for food and they are used in traditional Chinese medicine.
