3. Descending stories: Showa Gonroku and Rakugo Shinju
This is a show about the clash between modern and traditional Japan. Rakugo is a form of Japanese story telling so the rakugo master trains his disciple on how to captivate the audience. There is a clash between sexes, there is change, and concepts of modernization and tradition in this show.
