20. Joe Simpson and Simon Yates
They climbed Siula Grande in 1985. When they were descending Simpson fell and broke his right leg and hell, so Yates had to lower him down more carefully. Yet Yates didn’t want to fall himself so he cut the rope and Simpson fell 50 feet into a crevasse. Yates assumed he died, and he had to cut because of extreme weather. Simpson was alive though and he was found four days at base camp.
