25. Andes 1972
There were a group of boys who survived a plane crash in Andes mountain. They resorted to cannibalism in order to survive. Some of the dead bodies were their friends. There are a book and movie on the events that took place called Alive. Robert Canessa a 19-year-old medical student now a pediatric cardiologist learned many lessons in the trails of the mountain. He wrote a book I had to survive: How a plane Crash in The Andes inspired my Calling to Save lives. Some of the people who survived were rugby players. There is a museum that gives more information about the airplane crash and survivors.
